Heidi Montag Posts Update On Trying For Another Baby: ‘I Never Thought It Would Be So Hard Trying To Have Another’

Both Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt‘s path to adding to their family unit.

Montag and her husband have been trying for a second child since December 2020. And now, one year later, Montag flocked to Instagram to share an update on where they are at with in the process.

“So thankful for my angel,” she captioned photos of herself holding their young son, Gunner. “I never thought it would be so hard trying to have another.”

She continued, saying: “I am trusting God’s plan and if we only have one I am so thankful for this miracle.”

Back in May of 2021, Montag revealed how the pandemic impacted her family when they were planning to grow their family. “Before the pandemic, we were talking about having another child,” she shared with the E! News outlet.

“And then the pandemic hit, and we didn’t know where the world was going…or if there was even going to be a functioning society at that point. It was kind of scary of what was going to happen, so we waited a little bit.” 

Montag documented herself three months ago, showing herself before and after undergoing a hysteroscopic polypectomy procedure in a YouTube video titled, “Heidi gets surgery to help her get pregnant.”

“All done,” she said after the procedure, “and then I can have intercourse in two days and I’m ovulating, so hopefully this is the time, but just praying God’s timing hopefully that I am ovulating.”

On April 23 — Montag’s sister-in-law body-shamed her and Heidi did not back down from the comments.

“It’s just important not to let people label you or project their image on you,” she shared in a recent interview.

“A lot of people are going through their own stuff, and it’s just important to feel good about yourself and not let people kind of body shame you or make you feel like you should be a certain way.”

Heidi continued, “Especially in the pandemic, maybe people are eating more or drinking more or indulging more, and everyone has a lot going on.”
