Do not come for Hilary Duff with “slanderous” and “bizarre” accusations because she will not be having any of it. As E! News reports, the 32-year-old actress and mom-of-two took to her Instagram stories in celebration of her 8-year-old son Luca‘s birthday and posted a photo of him laying in the nude.
For some context, Duff was telling her fans how she was celebrating Luca’s birthday while in quarantine. The mom shared the photo when she was explaining that she was using her photo printer to print out photos of her son from throughout the years so that she could tack them to the walls of her home and he could reminisce over the last eight years.
After posting the photo, one of her followers reached out to warn the mom, and Duff took to Instagram stories again to reveal that she corrected the mistake she made by putting a sticker over the sensitive portion of the picture. And the rumors that followed have no truth to them.
Hilary Duff Slams Trolls For Baseless and Slanderous Rumors
Although the video has since been deleted, recordings of the video have been posted to Twitter and the mom started trending shortly after when people began accusing her “of partaking in sex trafficking,” according to E! News. Duff learned about the slander and quickly responded with a tweet of her own.
“Everyone bored AF right now I know..but this is actually disgusting. Whoever dreamed this one up and put this garbage into the universe should take a break from their damn phone. Maybe get a hobby.”
People quickly began defending the actress when her representative also issued a statement. The statement called those who attempted to started the disgusting rumor “trolls and idiots.”
“Let me say this in the strongest terms, this is all a fabricated disgusting internet lie, created and perpetuated by trolls and idiots. Hilary’s own post this morning is all that needs to be said on the matter,” the statement read. “Everyone who knows Hilary is fully aware what an amazing mom she is and that requires no further comment. If only people with this much time on their hands used their energy to solve real problems in the world.”
And Duff refuses to let the naysayers get the best of her as the mom still continues to post photos and videos of her life with her family and two children.
