Hilary Duff is growing and she couldn’t be more excited about it. As the actress and singer revealed on Instagram on October 25, she and her husband, musician Matthew Koma, are expecting again!
This will be the second child for the couple and Duff’s third child as her oldest child, son Luca, is from her first marriage. “We are growing!!!” Duff wrote on Instagram alongside a boomerang of Koma rubbing her burgeoning baby bump. Well “mostly me,” she quipped.

And the congratulations began to poor in as soon as Duff shared the big news publicly. “Yay!! The best news,” fellow singer and actress Mandy Moore, who is also expecting a child. “Love you two and can’t wait to be mamas together! Xo.”
“Omg congratulations this is amazing news!” Amanda Kloots also wrote, while Lea Michele, who recently became a mom for the first time, added, “Yes!!!! Congratulations!!”
Shortly after announcing the pregnancy, Duff took to her Stories to share a photo of the piece of pumpkin cheesecake she was enjoying. “Oh, it’s so fun that everyone knows about Bebe. Now I can share all of my naughty food adventures with you.”
As for the details of her pregnancy, like when she’s due or if they are expecting a boy or a girl, Duff and Koma have remained hush hush on that information. The couple welcomed a baby girl, Banks, into the world in 2018.
Banks recently just celebrated her second birthday in October. Koma also shared the same boomerang to his own Instagram feed but with a slightly different caption.
“Lol quarantine was fun,” Koma wrote. “Baby #3,” he continued, adding their unborn child’s birth year, “2021.”
Duff revealed in July of this year while talking to BuzzFeed, that she and Koma are always talking about growing their family. However, due to the pandemic, she admitted at the time that they didn’t know if this year was going to be the year that they would try for baby number three.
“We’re obsessed with our kids and we’re like, ‘Should we do one more? Is this a good time?’ It’s tough because everything is so uncertain. Like, is it safe to have a baby right now? We don’t know. Can we hold on for two years or is work going to be crazy? We’re always kind of talking about it and toying with the idea, but nothing too serious yet.”
Something changed since that particular interview. And we have to admit, we aren’t mad about it. Congratulations to the Duff/Koma family.
