Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara are being slammed for the April Fools joke they attempted to pull on their fans.
Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum Slammed for Their April Fool’s Joke
On April 1, Howie took to his verified Facebook page to share a photo of his America’s Got Talent co-judges. The photo showed Klum standing in her slippers with her stomach protruding from her outfit as if it were a baby bump.
Vergara can then be seen bending down to plant a kiss on Klum’s stomach. Mandel captioned the photo, “Congratulations. Co-workers Sofia and I are the first know [sic].”
While the joke fooled several commenters as they offered their congratulations to Klum, even more, were quick to realize the date on which the “announcement” was shared with the public and gathered that it was an April Fool’s joke.
“I sure hope this isn’t an April Fools joke, cause if it is shame on all of you,” one person wrote in the comments section. “If it is true, Congratulations.”
“I love you as a comedian but this is far from funny,” another added.
“It’s fake. It was an April fool’s joke. I don’t think it’s funny though. So many women can’t get pregnant,” a fellow commenter said.
Klum later that day went on to confirm that the photo of her and Sofia was in fact a joke and not an actual pregnancy announcement by sharing a photo of herself kissing Howie Mandel’s protruding stomach. “From me to you, Congratulations,” she wrote on the photo.

Nonetheless, despite the backlash, Howie has left the photo up on his page and neither of the three AGT judges have responded to those upset with the joke. And it doesn’t look like they intend to.
