Jamie Lee Curtis Reveals Why She Left the Oscars So Suddenly

Jamie Lee Curtis revealed why she left the Oscars so abruptly.

The icon herself looked stunning during her short, yet sweet, Oscar appearance. Curtis rocked a sleek, yet simple, floor-length black gown with an incredible gold cuff on her wrist.

A gold cuff that had significant value.

“I am wearing a gold cuff with a diamond encrusted replica of the Winged Victory of Samothrace,” Curtis revealed. “The statue was worshiped in a temple built for her.”

“Cathy Waterman first saw her at the top of the stairs at the Louvre when she was a teenager, and it did something remarkable for her in that moment. It showed her that there was a huge unknown world out there, and led her to a study of ancient history. What an inspiration she’s been for Cathy and It’s my great honor to wear her to the Oscars on my wrist!”

Yet, despite how fabulous she looked, Jamie didn’t stay to enjoy the award show for long. In fact, she presented an award and then quickly went back home.

The reason is simple, as Jamie admitted, “REALITY RULES.” While Jamie clearly appreciated the effort put into her Oscar, her focus was getting back into her sweatsuit with her IN and OUT order.

“Fly in, get fluffed and folded, present at Oscars, go to IN and OUT, fly away,” Curtis wrote. And so many commenters agree, “That is EXACTLY how you do it,” as many called Curtis their spirit animal.
