People really enjoy speculating about Jana Duggar and why she hasn’t married yet. She finally opened up about single life and courting on the sneak peek for next week’s Counting On.
In the clip, she describes the pressure put on her to date and find a partner. But, she’s enjoying being single and living life on her own terms. Which we can’t argue with!
Jana says she’s pressured by “suggestions” for her love life.
“If I was sitting here waiting to get married, I think that would be more depressing, but instead, I really look at this as, OK what are other things that I could be doing right now that maybe I can’t do later?” she says in the clip. “I’ve really enjoyed the different opportunities that I’ve had [like] travel; even still being able to travel with my family that maybe my married siblings can’t do.”
We’re happy for Jana. Unlike her married siblings, she’s been able to travel and explore her adventurous side. And, She’s only 29! She has plenty of time to settle down if that’s what she chooses to do.
Unsurprisingly, Jana’s had “multiple” men interested in dating her.
“None of them worked out. Different ones of us have been in relationships, courtships, whatever you want to label it as,” she explained. “Of course, it doesn’t always end in marriage and that’s OK. You have to sometimes talk to someone, get to know someone and realize, you know what, it doesn’t have to end in marriage.”
This is a refreshing take! Yes, there’s no need to rush into things, Jana.
