Mom-of-two Jana Kramer opened up about her kids leaving on Christmas day to Instagram, requesting advice from fellow, divorced moms struggling with goodbyes on the holidays.
“TO EVERY MOM OR DAD THAT JUST HAD TO SAY GOODBYE TO THEIR KIDS ON CHRISTMAS YOU ARE NOT ALONE IN THE CRY FEST, FEELING ANGRY, SAD, ALL THE ABOVE,” Kramer began in all caps.

“THEY SAY THE FIRST YEAR IS THE HARDEST BUT I CAN’T IMAGINE ANY CHRISTMAS BEING EASY SAYING GOODBYE. 12PM TICKED DOWN LIKE A TICKING BOMB….AND AS I SIT AROUND ALL THE TOYS IN THE LIVING ROOM I’M ????. TO ALL THE MOMS AND DADS WHO HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE ME…YOU ARE INSANELY STRONG CAUSE THIS SUCKS AND I THINK THE WORD I KEEP GOING TO IS JUST UNFAIR. TO EVERYONE MISSING A LOVED ONE THIS YEAR MY HEART IS WITH U,” Kramer continued.
“I’m gonna continue this cry and then count my blessings because I know so many are without loved ones and I do realize how grateful I am so I’m gonna try to focus on that. But I share to know I’m not alone too so comment below…any helpful tips?”

“It never really gets easier, going on year 8 now but my advice would be to make sure to make it as normal and as awesome as possible for the kids,” one user commented. “Wow! Two Christmases at two different houses because so many people love you and Santa even delivered to mommy & daddy’s house – how awesome! …. Say all the positive things. And then create your own Christmas tradition, maybe wine and dinner or movie night with close friends to help take your mind off of the empty nest. Hang in their mama, you’re doing so great! ❤️”
“I just keep reminding myself that he needs his daddy just as much as he needs me,” another shared. “He has so much love from both of us, and my baby boy deserves to have that time with his daddy just as much as his mommy ❤️ it doesn’t get easy… but easier… think about the non-stressful Christmas Eve, when Ms Santa doesn’t have to sneak around the tree to drop off presents ????”
