Jenna Bush Hager is done.
Earlier this year, Hager revealed on Instagram that she had a birthday party for her daughter Mila. The party consisted of 14 kids and took place at a water park.
“I accidentally lost one of the children at the water park,” Hager admits, adding that it made her realize she is “done” with water parks. She did them and now she’s moving on.
She added that fellow mom, Hoda Kotb is also done with several things, like her kids pushing back on bedtime or her kids saying, “I don’t like this food.”
As a result of their honesty, the hosts of the third hour of the Today Show started a movement called “Mamas Done.”
“If you’re finished with something, you can just hide in the pantry like I do with a string cheese,” Hager continued before asking her followers, “what are you done with,” before adding to her growing list.
“I’m done with crafts in my house. I don’t mind doing crafts outside. I actually like crafts. But I’m done with feeling like I need to be a DIY mom because I’m not a DIY mom. I’m actually not that great at anything D, I, or Y,” Hager quipped.
She went on to say she is “done with breaking up fights in my home with my children. I’d rather just let them handle it.” And she is also done with her children asking for her phone.
“I am done with my children asking if they can use my phone to take selfless of themselves or I’m not sure what they want it for? Google? Amazon to purchase things that are never going to be purchased? I’m done.”
Hager added that all of this is not to say she doesn’t love her three children because of course she does. “I love being a mom and I love my kids, but we are all done with something.”
She then asked, again, “What are you done with?”
