It’s been many days since the world was encouraged to self-quarantine themselves in an effort to slow the spread for COVID-19. And after so many days at home, you run out of ideas to entertain yourself, and it’s easy to get bored.
However, as actress Jennifer Garner revealed, that boredom can turn into you realize a talent you didn’t know you had. In Garner’s case, her 8-year-old son, Samuel, is a poet and he doesn’t even know it. Well, if he didn’t know it before the start of this global pandemic, he and his mom’s 8.9 million followers do now.

Jennifer Garner’s 8-Year-Old Son Write a Coronavirus Haiku Under a Pseudonym
On March 31, Garner took to Instagram to share a photo of the poem Samuel wrote on her felt leaderboard. As the mom of three also pointed out, the 8-year-old also writes under a pen name, Fitz B. Ireland.
“Corona Virus, a haiku by Fitz B. Ireland. ‘coronavirus we eat we sleep we stay home thrilling it is NOT!’ Things must be getting bleak when an 8-year-old boy adopts a pen name and voluntarily writes poetry,” Garner captioned the photo, along with the hashtag, “hang in there mamas.”
And her followers loved the poem too. “Couldn’t have said it better ourselves! You got this, Fitz,” one commenter wrote. “Love this! Well done,” another added.
Garner has also been keeping herself busy by accepting the many challenges circling around social media she’s been nominated for like the pushup challenge, the handwashing challenge, and more. And she’s also raising money for No Kid Hungry through an initiative called “Save With Stories.”
