It’s only natural that at some point, someone’s going to ask you “who’s your favorite kid?” Jennifer Garner, though, has a great way of handling this question and has fortunately shared her wisdom on Instagram so the rest of us can use this same tactic.
The Yes Day actress shared a sweet handwritten note from one of her children which ended with P.S. I know I’m your favorite.”

Garner, who is mom to Violet, 15, Seraphine, 12 and Samuel, 8, didn’t reveal which one of her children wrote the note, but she did share her response.
“As my mom always says, my favorite is the one I’m with,” she wrote in the caption.
Fans commiserated with Garner’s quandary, with many sharing their stories about being asked who’s their favorite.
“My daughter changed her name in my phone as ‘your favorite child,'” shared one mom.
“I always say you’re my favorite son or you’re my favorite daughter. I have one of each,” said another.
This isn’t the first time that Garner’s children have shared some thoughts with their mom. A few years ago, her daughter Seraphina wrote that she was a “fun-killing mom” in a note, though she did also share that she hoped to be a mom just like her when she was older.
