JoJo Siwa Announces She Has Officially Split From Girlfriend Kylie Prew

JoJo Siwa officially announced how she and her girlfriend, Kylie Prew, have gone their separate ways.

On Paris Hilton‘s “This Is Paris” podcast, the “Dancing with the Stars” personality stated: “I have yet to talk about this — officially, publicly — but we broke up.”

But despite the breakup, Siwa says the two are still closer than ever.

“She is literally still my best friend,” the 18-year-old continued. “I talked to her yesterday. She just got a new puppy. She’s awesome. She’s having the time of her life. I’m having the time of my life.”

Jojo added that she is “really lucky that I didn’t lose her completely,”as it showed her “even though relationships end, friendships don’t have to end.”

Siwa went on to share how: “It just is the definition of a cheesy saying of ‘right person, wrong time’ and I hate cheesy sayings but they’re true,” and added that her “hectic schedule” didn’t give them a fighting chance.

Siwa also spoke on her DWTS pro dancing partner, Jenna Johnson, and how the two are working hard after a less than perfect score this past Monday night.

Jojo admitted she has a blister “the size of a quarter” on her heel, among other strains and bruises, but urges she is “having a blast” on the dancing show.

alongside a female partner, which will be the first time the show will feature a same-sex pairing.

“You’re making history, JoJo,” said the show’s host, Tyra Banks, told Siwa on Thursday at a Television Critics Association event. “This is history.”

Jojo, who shared in April that she identifies as pansexual, is elated for the opportunity.

“I think it breaks a wall that’s never been broken down before,” she said. “Not only do I now get to share with the world that you get to love who you want to love, but also, you get to dance with who you want to dance with. I think it’s really special.”

“There [are] a lot of barriers that we’re going to have to break through,” she said. “Who leads? How do you dress? What shoes do you wear? But I think it’s all something that I’m looking forward to.”

“It would be so incredible, it would mean so much to me — and I think so much to a lot of people around the world — if I partnered with another female,” Siwa said. “So right away, it wasn’t a question.”
