Jon Gosselin Says 4 of His Quintuplets Don’t Talk to Him. He Doesn’t Care as Long as They Talk to Hannah

Jon Gosselin is opening up about his relationship with his kids who don’t live with him.

Just a few weeks ago, news broke that after his ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, failed to show up to court, a Pennsylvania judge awarded Jon temporary sole legal and physical custody of their son, Collin.

For the last two years, Collin Gosselin has been living in a facility reportedly dedicated to catering to his special needs.

As Dearly previously reported, Collin will be leaving the center soon and will be moving in with Jon rather than Kate.

Jon explained the reasoning behind his decision to seek custody:

“It was just easier for the transition. So it’d be easier for one parent to just transition him home, and he wanted to live with me, so it was easier to do it that way.”

However, despite now having custody of two of his eight children, Jon said he doesn’t have much of a relationship with the other four sextuplets.

According to the dad, he doesn’t even talk to Leah, Alexis, Aaden, and Joel:

“Hannah lives with me full time, and then Collin. Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden, they’re with their mom, and then the twins are 18, so they’re adults.”

He continued:

“The other four aren’t talking to me, but they’re talking to Hannah. It’s what the kids want to do. If they don’t want to talk to me, that’s fine, as long as they keep up with their sibling connections.”

Jon described the last time he was with all of his children as “volatile,” adding that “it was just not a good time.”

As People reports, Jon also failed to talk about his current relationship with his 18-year-old twin daughters, Cara and Mady.

However, that could be because in a 2016 interview, the then-16-year-olds told their dad to stop talking about them publicly. Mady said:

“He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane. He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.”

This Christmas will be his first major holiday spent with some of his children.

Jon explained:

“I never had major holidays with my kids. I always shared it with Kate and got them after the fact. […]

We’re trying to create new traditions that are ours. We started with the tree. The kids are doing their lists on Giftster. But it’s different for Collin because he really hasn’t asked for stuff in a couple of years. He says, ‘I don’t know what a 14-year-old boy wants.'”

It’s unclear if Collin is now in Jon’s home or if he is still at the treatment center.
