UPDATE: Nine months after Jonathan Majors was arrested for domestic violence, he has been found guilty of assault.
On December 18, after a jury of 6 of his peers deliberated for roughly four hours, Majors was found guilty of reckless assault in the third degree and guilty of harassment. Majors was not found guilty of intentional assault in the third degree or aggravated harassment in the second degree.
He is sent to be sentenced for his crimes on February 6.
One of the stars of Creed III and Ant-Man and the Wasp has been arrested for an alleged domestic dispute.
According to reports, 33-year-old actor Jonathan Majors was arrested in New York City on Saturday, March 25. In a statement obtained by People from the NYPD, it was revealed that “on Saturday, March 25, 2023, at approximately 1114 hours, police responded to a 911 call inside of an apartment located in the vicinity of West 22nd Street and 8th Avenue, within the confines of the 10 Precinct.”
Jonathan Majors Arrested and Charged In Alleged Domestic Dispute Case
The statement continued, revealing that “a preliminary investigation determined that a 33-year-old male was involved in a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old female. The victim informed police she was assaulted. Officers placed the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor injuries to her head and neck and was removed to an area hospital in stable condition.”
Police confirmed the identity of the man arrested as Jonathan Majors, who has recently taken Hollywood by storm for his role opposite Micheal B. Jordan in Creed III. Majors is also an MFA graduate from Yale School of Drama.

A spokesperson for Majors has issued a statement regarding the arrest, saying that the evidence will ultimately prove Majors’ innocents. “He has done nothing wrong. We look forward to clearing his name and clearing this up.”
And in a second statement, Majors’ attorney, Priya Chaudhry, told ABC News that “Jonathan Majors is completely innocent … We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently.”
Chaudhry continued, revealing that some of the evidence includes video footage of where the alleged assault took place, witness testimony from a driver, “and most importantly, two written statements from the woman recanting these allegations.”
To conclude the statement, Chaudhry added that “the NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon.”
The 30-year-old woman who was allegedly assaulted has since been treated at a local hospital.
As a result of the arrested, Majors has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of third-degree assault, second-degree aggravated harassment, second-degree harassment, and third-degree attempted assault. The actor has since appeared in front of a judge and is expected back in court on May 8.
