Prosecutors have filed a motion asking the judge to allow them to discuss Josh Duggar’s past sexual molestation allegations during his child pornography trial which is set to begin on November 30. This is just the latest of motions filed in preparation for this trial.
Many of the prior motions, which were filed by Duggar’s defense team, were denied by the judge. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, Josh Duggar will stand trial after being charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

According to court documents obtained by KNWA, the prosecution says they may seek to introduce evidence regarding the other acts of sexual molestation reportedly committed by Josh Duggar in the past. The prosecution further revealed that the evidence will likely include testimony that the now 33-year-old father of almost seven was investigated for and admitted to sexually molesting multiple minor females in 2002 and beyond.
Prosecution Asks to Use Josh Duggar’s Previous Sexual Molestation Allegations as Evidence
Duggar also received counseling for his prior acts which were reportedly commented against some of his sisters and a family friend. However, the defense later responded to the motion arguing that because the past sexual assault allegations are more than 18 years old and occurred when Duggar was a minor himself, they shouldn’t be allowed in evidence.
They even called the allegations “irrelevant.” “Allowing the jury to consider this evidence would confuse and mislead the jury and would waste time in a federal courtroom nearly two decades later about allegations that are not charged in the case and have never been charged.”
Also in the court documents filed by the prosecution, they included Duggar’s public statement in 2015 in which he admitted to having a porn addiction. “I have been the biggest hypocrite ever,” Josh Duggar wrote. “While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this has become an addiction.”
Duggar has also been accused after having an account on Ashley Madison, a website for adults looking to have extra-marital affairs. It’s unclear how often he used it.
Despite all of that, Duggar and his wife of 13-years, Anna Duggar, have remained married. Anna is currently pregnant with their seventh child. The couple revealed they are expecting a baby girl just one week before his arrest.
Did Anna Duggar Give Birth?
Several gossip websites have reported that Anna secretly gave birth in October. However, that has not yet been confirmed by a reliable source.
Rumors that Anna gave birth began to swirl after Josh’s father, Jim Bob Duggar threw his hat into the ring after announcing that he was running for Arkansas State Senate. During his campaign announcement, Jim Bob said he has 22 grandchildren.
People were quick to start counting the number of known grandchildren. Currently, it is believed that Jim Bob and Michelle have 21 earthside grandchildren, Anna and Josh’s daughter would be 22.
However, Jim Bob could be referring to Joy-Anna’s stillborn daughter, Annabelle. Joy also considers herself a mother of three. Sadly, Joy-Anna’s daughter isn’t the only pregnancy loss in the Duggar family, meaning Jim Bob would have likely included those numbers as well.
Josh Duggar is currently on house arrest and is leaving with family friends. He is not allowed to be in the presents of any minors, aside from his children so long as Anna is present.
Given that information, it’s unclear if Josh would be allowed to be present for his daughter’s birth. As previously stated, Josh’s trial is set to begin on November 30.
