Judge Attacked By Violent Defendant During Sentencing Hearing

A video is showing the jaw-dropping moment a defendant attacked the judge presiding over his sentencing hearing.

Watch the attack below:

According to reports, at the beginning of the hearing, an attorney for the defendant, identified as 30-year-old Deobra Redden, asked the judge to give his client probation for the felony battery he was found guilty of.

However, Judge Mary Kay Holthus didn’t believe that punishment fit the crime and sentenced him to time in jail, considering he had had run-ins with the law before.

After making her decision, Deobra managed to find an opportunity to leap over the judge’s chambers and attack her, pulling her to the ground as bystanders and security rushed to help her.

Thankfully, Deobra was pulled off Judge Holthus before she was seriously injured. Although reports suggest Holthus did hit her head in the altercation.

Deobra has a lengthy rap sheet, many of which include violent crimes.
