Kanye West Won’t Be Purchasing Parler After All; Both Sides Mutually Agree to Terminate the Sale

Kanye West continues to burn bridges with his erratic behavior and hurtful comments. He most recently faced consequences when Parler, a right-wing/conservative social media platform that preaches ‘free speech,’ announced that it will be terminating its intent to sell with Kanye West – a mutual agreement.

“In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler.  This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November,” the social media platform wrote in a statement on Twitter.

West originally announced his plans to purchase the social media platform in October. At the time, West was suspended from his Twitter and Instagram accounts for antisemitic posts deemed offensive to the Jewish community. Since then, things have only continued to spiral out of control for the hip-hop star.

“Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community,” said Parler in a second tweet. The tweet received harsh criticism from Twitter users, who weren’t holding back – one user replied, ‘there’s probably no growth opportunities for you out there.’

The decision by Parler comes on the same day Kanye West was featured on Alex Jones’ show titled Infowars. At one point during the show, Ye mentioned that he liked Hitler and had love for the Nazis. Jones was visibly uncomfortable with this, but West doubled down on his antisemitic comments.

“There’s a lot of things that I love about Hitler. A lot of things,” said Kanye West after Jones tried to give him an opportunity to walk back his comments. Known for making wild comments himself, Jones was in an unusual position with Ye stepping over lines even he wouldn’t cross. It was a cringe-worthy moment.

And Kanye’s comments only got worse as the show went on. “Every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler,” said Kanye, who was also accompanied by white nationalist Nick Fuentes – the same individual Ye invited to his dinner with Donald Trump last month.

Kanye West is Running Out of Bridges to Burn

Over the past few months, Kanye West has burned practically every bridge there was to burn. He has lost nearly all of his partnerships, deals, sponsorships, and other ventures as his racist and antisemitic views are put on worldwide stage. He’s falling in with the wrong people and his actions are following suit.

While he has always been one to voice his opinion, things took a turn for the worse in October during Paris Fashion Week, when he debuted a ‘White Lives Matter’ shirt design. He started making antisemitic comments on social media shortly after – resulting in him being suspended from Instagram and Twitter.

An interview with Tucker Carlson went viral for all the wrong reasons in mid-October and brands such as Gap, JP Morgan Bank, Balenciaga, and Creative Artists Agency started ditching Kanye by the end of the month. After allegations of toxic workplace behavior, Adidas followed suit and cut ties with the artist.
