Kanye West Says He Still Wants 7 Kids Even Though Wife Kim Kardashian Says She’s ‘Done’

Four kids is all Kim Kardashian-West says she can handle. However, her husband, rapper Kanye West, is still set on being a dad of 7.

In an earlier episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kim told her younger sister, Kylie Jenner, that she and Kanye decided to try for their fourth child because they had an embryo left over after using a surrogate to welcome their third child, 1-year-old Chicago.

Nonetheless, Kim told Kylie that she was “low key freaking out” after learning their surrogate was pregnant because she didn’t think the embryo would take. “I didn’t think it was going to happen. I thought like ‘Oh, it probably won’t even take.'”

Eventually, Kim warmed up to the idea of being a mom of four, as Psalm’s due date inched closer. But after welcoming Psalm into the world almost six months ago, Kim said with her busy schedule and going back to school to be a lawyer, she is done having kids.

Yet, despite the 39-year-old saying she feels like her family is “complete,” Kanye still wants seven children because the number 7 is God’s number.

During a segment of “Carpool Karaoke” (which became “Airpool Karaoke” for Kanye, as it took place on a plane) with the host of The Late Late Show, James Corden, the rapper explained, “[I want] seven kids. The richest thing that you can have is as many children as possible.”

West went on to say that he loves spending time at home with his family so much more than going out at night. “We’ll eat dinner and we’ll play with the kids and then we’ll put the kids to bed and then we go to bed,. And then my wife watches Dateline, I read the Bible.”

The couple is also parents to 6-year-old North and 4-year-old Saint, in addition to 1-year-old Chicago and 5-month old Psalm.

And while the couple clearly is not on the same page when it comes to how big their family should be, it won’t come as a surprise to Kim that this is what her husband wants. Last year, during an episode of their reality show, Kim told her friend Larissa Pippen that Kanye was “harassing” her for more child.

“Kanye wants to have more. He’s been harassing me. He wants, like, seven. He’s, like, stuck on seven. […] I’ve been kind of hesitant about having more kids just because it literally keeps me up at night, thinking about how my kids will survive in a crazy world like this.”

She later said in an interview with Elle, “I don’t think I could handle more than that. My time is spread really thin. And I think it’s important that in all couples, the mom gives the husband as much attention as the kids.”

And even with four kids, Kim said she still manages to make her husband a priority, adding that Kanye has stepped up in a big way too. “Kanye knows that I’ve had such anxiety with the new baby and everything going on. He’s stepped up so much and has been the most amazing dad, playing all the games with the kids and things like that.”

I guess only time will tell if Kim and Kanye are really done having kids and if they decide to expand their family even more.
