Kate Gosselin To Possibly Return To Work As A Nurse After Whispers Of Financial Trouble

Kate Gosselin has allegedly obtained her nursing license in North Carolina, and as a result, questions are being raised about the state of her finances.

Kate obtained her nursing license in North Carolina after moving to the state with her a few of her kids after the cancellation of their reality show, Kate Plus 8.

Kate, 46, obtained her registered nurse license on June 30, 2021, according to the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

The expiration date is March 31, 2023, and she has a “multi-state license.” Allegedly it is also active in Pennsylvania and expires on October 31, 2021.  Kate worked as a nurse when Jon and Kate Plus 8 aired in 2007.

Her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, 44, previously lambasted Kate for not working during the Covid-19 pandemic.

He said in April 2020: “I have no idea what she’s doing for work. I mean you think – as she claims she has her nursing license – that she’d be on the front line. That would be a good idea. Just saying.”

Kate obtaining her nursing license in North Carolina comes after she sold her Pennsylvania home for $1,085,000 on January 26. She put the mansion on the market for $1,299,900 in October 2020. Kate purchased the six-bedroom, seven-bathroom home for $1,120,000 in 2008.

The TV personality decided to haul her 16-year-old sextuplets — Joel, Alexis, Leah and Aaden — down south after selling the family’s longtime home in PA. Twins Mady and Cara Gosselin, who are 20 and currently in college, have yet to join the family.

Mady and Cara, reportedly, are not too happy about the transition.

“Kate picked up and moved the kids down to North Carolina to spend their junior and senior years there with a totally new life,” a source revealed to HollywoodLife. “The two older girls are in no rush to go to North Caroline. They weren’t happy about the move because they have no friends there.”

The other two sextuples, Collin and Hannah, still reside with Jon. Since the two’s separation in 2009, Kate and Jon have not been able to co-parent. Jon won full custody of Collin in 2018, and Hannah decided to live with him after that, as well.

That being said, Jon does not have a relationship with his six other children and has not spoken to them in more than two years. Jon has gone on the record to say how Kate and the other children have “alienated” him and Collin, but Hannah still has a relationship with Mady and Cara.
