Kathie Lee Gifford is one happy grandmother as her family tree continues to grow. The 69-year-old TV personality recently celebrated the birth of her 2nd grandchild on June 24 when her daughter, Cassidy Gifford, welcomed her first child – a son named Finn Thomas Wierda – with her husband, Ben Wierda.
The couple took to Instagram to share a photo of the newborn’s foot in the palm of Cassidy’s hand. She described the little one as their ‘whole entire world’ and believes he’s the ‘most precious gift’ – they added that they are ‘so madly in love’ with him already. They have yet to share a full photo of the newborn baby.
The pregnancy was announced in December 2022, just one week before Christmas Day – not a bad Christmas gift, huh? They made the announcement with a photo of their fireplace with a mini stocking in-between a large red stocking and a large white stocking. Now, they have a baby son to show for it!

What Did Kathie Lee Gifford Have to Say About the Birth?
“Cassidy, you and Ben are a wonder. The love you have for each other is so beautifully expressed in the way you care for your newborn Finn, who is the best of both of you! Praise our loving LORD Who is the God of family! I am beyond rejoicing with you, and for you!” Kathie Lee Gifford wrote of the new addition.
Kathie Lee wasn’t the only one sharing their excitement over the newborn in the comments. Erika Gifford – the wife of Kathie Lee’s son, Cody Gifford. “Little buddy ???? Love our precious nephew so much ????” she wrote in the comments. Donna Farizan and Jill Martin of the TODAY show also left comments.
This is now Kathie Lee’s second grandchild after Erika and Cody welcomed their first child on May 31, 2022 – his name is Frankie and he just celebrated his first birthday a month ago. Their second pregnancy announcement came on June 2 in an Instagram post that also wished Frankie a very happy birthday.
