The Inspirational Kelsie Dolin Makes Lionel Richie Cry On ‘American Idol’

Keslie Dolin is bringing the world to tears with her voice.

In a teaser, Dolin spoke of being raised by her grandparents and how her grandmother pushed her to perform in public but she couldn’t. And then, Dolin’s grandma passed away last year after suffering heart problems and contracting COVID-19.

Dolin decided to sing “Piece By Piece” by Kelly Clarkson and “When We Were Young” by Adele.

After singing her heart out, it was Lionel Richie who was eating his heart out for the young singer’s voice.

“This is the only person I know who has walked in here and messed me up completely,” Richie said, Perry added, “It sounded really good, you are very special.”

While another user commented: “I loved how careful they were with her, she is just so truly humble. I’m sobbing because they did everything right to help that girl shine!”
