Khloé Kardashian Provides Update on Cheek Bandage After Having Surgery to Remove Cancerous Tumor: “All Is Great and Healing Wonderfully”

Khloé Kardashian continues to heal and recover after having surgery to remove a tumor on her cheek. She recently took to Instagram to share a ‘Happy Sunday’ post with her 295 million followers, and she was sporting a bandage on her cheek where the tumor used to be – she has worn a bandage for months.

A strong majority of the comments she received on the post were either offering their support, sending their love, or wishing the reality TV personality a ‘Happy Sunday’ – as Khloé did to them. One of the comments, however, asked, ‘what the heck is on your cheek’ – they apparently hadn’t heard the news.

Khloé was quick to respond, “a bandage. I had a tumor removed from my face, but I’m totally ok. Thank you for asking.” She also responded to another comment, according to PEOPLE, saying she wears the bandage for ‘healing’ and ‘prevention,’ adding that “all is great and healing wonderfully.”

Khloé Kardashian originally opened up about her skin tumor in October 2022 when she took to her Instagram Story to explain the discovery. At the time, she had been wearing a bandage on her cheek for several weeks, and many people – fans and news outlets – were asking about it, so she gave an answer.

“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging,” she wrote. “A few days later, I was told I need to have an immediate operation to remove a tumor from my face.” That’s when she called Dr. Garth Fisher.

Continuing her explanation, Khloé said she was ‘grateful’ for Fisher – who she called ‘one of the best surgeons in Beverly Hills’ – and added that he was able to remove the tumor. At the time, everything seemed fine, and she was going to move forward with the healing process – which requires a bandage.

“You’ll continue to see my bandages, and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumor being removed), but until then, I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these face bandages look,” she concluded. Since then, her recovery and healing have been going well!

Khloé Kardashian Should Be Ditching the Bandage Soon

In November, Khloé Kardashian responded to a tweet by one of her biggest fans, who said she was ‘proud’ of Khloé for taking care of her skin and ‘rocking your band-aid at all these high-fashion events.’ The fan concluded the tweet by asking Khloé if she knows when she’ll be able to ditch the bandage.

“Trust me, it’s not easy, but it will help my scar not stretch out any bigger than it has to be. Right now, it’s healing so wonderfully. I do laser treatments on it, and it’s healing so so well. They want me to wear it for six months, but I’m not sure I will go that long,” Khloé responded – adding she’s trying to be diligent with it.

Considering that tweet was from almost five months ago, one would have to assume she would be ditching soon – though she has yet to confirm anything. Either way, it’s good to know that she’s not letting some of the unwarranted comments stop her from taking care of herself, her skin, and her dignity.

Khloé also previously opened up about having melanoma (one of the most serious forms of skin cancer) on her back when she was 19 years old. With her recent experience with a cancerous tumor, she’s ‘thankful’ and ‘grateful’ that all she has is a ‘scar to tell a story with’ – adding that many aren’t
