On Saturday, April 27, Kim Kardashian-West threw herself a baby shower ahead of the arrival of her and husband Kanye West‘s fourth child. But it’s Kim Kardashian we’re talking about, so this was no ordinary baby shower. No, it was a “CBD and Meditation”-themed shower that featured a variety of CBD products for guests as well as planned mediation activities. The goal? Total calmness and relaxation for everyone there.
Kim and Kanye’s fourth child is due in approximately two weeks via surrogate. Kim has been very open about the struggles she endured while pregnant and her reasons for using a surrogate (which she also did for her third child, Chicago).
In fact, the CBD theme really makes sense given Kim’s admitted stress about pregnancy and motherhood. And four kids is a lot, period. CBD, take me away!

For the shower, Kim encouraged guests to enjoy the calming effects of the CBD products she provided.
In the above video, which Kim originally shared via her Snapchat and Instagram stories, you can hear Kim say that CBD has “been how I survive in life.” Well, that’s quite an endorsement!
In another video, Kim says that, though she feels ridiculous throwing herself a fourth baby shower, she is also “freaking the f*** out” about the impending arrival of her fourth child. Thus, the CBD and meditation theme was born.
What Is CBD?
CBD is a non-psychoactive extract taken from marijuana plants and is legal to use in California (where Kim lives) as well as many other states. It is often taken to help combat stress, anxiety, and pain. It doesn’t give the user a “high” the way other marijuana products (i.e. THC) do. One can ingest it in a variety of creative ways: oil drops, sodas, treats, supplements, smoked the old fashioned way, and more.
In other words, this might have been the chillest baby shower ever.
Celebrity guests at the shower included Chrissy Teigen, Paris Hilton, and, of course, most of Kim’s famous family.
