Kim Kardashian Making Efforts to Include Kanye West in Family Events, Including Birthday Parties

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West might be legally divorced – as of November 29th – but Kim isn’t letting that get in the way of her children spending quality time with their father. In fact, she continues to include him in family events and is intent on them having a strong relationship with the man now known as Ye.

Kim and Ye started dating in 2012 and got married two years later. The former couple share four children together – North, 9, Saint, 7, Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3 – all of whom receive a lot of media attention. Rumors of a possible divorce started in January and were confirmed in February when Kardashian filed it.

According to court documents from the divorce, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will have joint legal and physical custody of their four children. Not only that, but Ye agreed to pay for half of their schooling (tuition), security, and medical expenses while paying Kim K $200,000 per month in child support.

In an interview with E! News, one source close to Kim Kardashian explained the co-parenting relationship the reality TV star now has with her ex-husband. “Kanye will always be their dad and it won’t change,” the source said. “He will always be a part of their lives and she will help facilitate that,” the source added.

They went on to explain the admiration and love the four children have for their father – a love that travels both ways. “All the kids are very bonded to Kanye and adore him despite what’s going on. Kim is doing a great job of not letting that change their relationship,” they added, showing how reasonable Kim can be.

And while Kanye and Kim share joint custody of the children, another source confirmed what Ye publicly admitted a few months ago – the kids spend the majority of their time with their mother. More specifically, Kanye admitted that she does about 80% of the parenting. To many fans, this comes as no surprise.

“They do have joint custody but Kim spends most of the time with the kids anyway, which Kanye has publicly admitted,” the source told E! News last month. Nonetheless, the troubled hip-hop artist finds time to be there when it matters most – in large part thanks to the effort being put forth by Kim Kardashian.

Kim Kardashian Invites Kanye West to Saint’s Birthday Party

On December 5th, Kim Kardashian threw a birthday party for her son Saint, who was turning seven years old, at her Hidden Hills estate. According to TMZ, Kanye West was invited to the party and wound up spending several hours at the estate. It goes to show the commitment they’re making as co-parents.

It was quite the birthday for Saint, which included a trip to Disneyland with Kim, her sister Kourtney Kardashian, and her son, Reign – who turns eight years old on December 14th. On Sunday, Kim treated Saint and several of his friends to a Los Angeles Rams game, where he got to meet Jalen Ramsey.

Kanye West has been involved in quite a bit of controversy over the past few months as he continues to burn just about every bridge he has ever built. He has made a slew of antisemitic and racist remarks, acted inappropriately in professional settings, and has been hanging out with the wrong crowds recently.

Despite the constant drama that seems to follow Kanye everywhere he goes, Kim Kardashian isn’t giving up on him as a father. And while Kanye seems to be giving up on those around him, he doesn’t appear to be giving up on his children. One can only hope the co-parents continue to set aside their differences.
