Kristen Bell Admits Her Mental State Hasn’t Been The Greatest Amid The Pandemic

Kristen Bell is not hiding how her mental state has fared this past year.

While chatting with Self in her latest cover story for the magazine’s May 2021 issue, Bell admitted she has been struggling with her mental health and its effects on her family.

Kristen revealed that while she seems “bubbly and happy,” she is feeling anything but.

Bell went on to admit how there were days when she snoozed her alarm to stay in bed due to feeling “very, very, very vulnerable.”

In addition, this past year, she was having “trouble distinguishing between my emotions and someone else’s emotions, and that’s not a compliment to myself. That’s a very dangerous thing to toy with.”

Kristen’s mental state was so bad at times, she believed it was not healthy for her family to be around her.

Husband, Dax Shepard, would offer her nuggets of wisdom in an effort to help Bell get back to a base line.

“‘Either get up and donate money or donate your time or do something to help, or take that story in, give it some love, and come out here and be a good mom and a good wife and a good friend and live your life in honor of the suffering that happens in the world,'” Kristen shared of Dax’s advice to her.

Bell went on to reveal how this looks like donating to a cause she wants to support, meditating or even taking a walk around the neighborhood.

And when she doesn’t want to talk to someone — she believes in doing puzzles.

Sounds like even celebrities deal with the pandemic-blues too!
