Columbus delivered the child at the Hennepin County Medical Center before succumbing to her wounds. The baby was then admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where the child is currently listed in critical condition.

Columbus was only five months pregnant at the time of her death. She was a model and publicist for a Minneapolis music company by the name of Dawgy Entertainment.

The nature of the relationship between Columbus and Robsinson was unclear. In addition, it was also unclear when Robinson was arrested but he will soon be extradited from Chicago to face arraignment.

The arrest was made between Chicago police and the recently forged Twin Cities Violent Crime Task Force.
