Mandy Moore has been consistently sharing updates on motherhood — including her pregnancy complication following a traumatic birth experience delivery Gus.
Moore shares her son with husband, Taylor Goldsmith.
In a series of posts to her Instagram story, Mandy gave update from her doctor’s office.
She revealed how she was there for a checkup.
“Back at the hematologist to see if my platelets have gone up since having the baby,” she wrote in a new selfie.
As she revealed previously, she suffered from extremely low platelets during her pregnancy.

She was unable to do a home delivery, as a result.
But her disappointment was only furthered when her doctor gave her disappointing news.
Evidently, Mandy’s health situation did not improve as much as her hematologist would have liked.
“Platelets are going up, but still not great,” she shared from her car after her appointment. “I’m on a mission to do whatever I can to get them to a solid place so I don’t have to wonder or worry during the next pregnancy.”

She shared how her doctor plans on continuing to monitor her.
Moore then revealed how if her platelet levels do not normalize in a few more months — she could be dealing with a chronic condition known as immune thrombocytopenia.
She then asked her followers if they had any suggestions for dealing with low platelets
“I took iron, B12, and folate (supplements) and ate all the lentils and dark leafy greens,” she noted.
