Martha Stewart STUNS as the Newest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Model

Martha Stewart is making people’s jaws drop as she reveals she’s one of the cover models for this year’s Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue!

At 81 years old, the lifestyle icon is proving that age is nothing but a number as she wows in several different swimwear ensembles. Just take a look at how great she looks!

Martha took to Instagram to celebrate the historic moment as well, sharing even more looks from her SI shoot.

Martha is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition cover star! Martha was approached by @si_swimsuit in November 2022, which gave her roughly three months to prepare for the end-of-January shoot—an experience she walked into with confidence. “Trying new things is very good. Being fearless is very good. Don’t be afraid of anything,” she said about taking advantage of the opportunity.

Martha talked even more about the experience while on the Today Show. “You know, that was kind of a request I have never had before,“ Stewart laughed. “And to be on the cover at my age was a challenge. I think I met the challenge.”

“I like that picture. I’m sort of shaking because it’s odd to go to an island and then get changed into nine different bathing suits in one day in front of all those people … it turned out OK.”

She admitted that she didn’t have to change too much about her lifestyle as she prepared for the photoshoot earlier this year. “I live a clean life anyway — good diet, good exercise, and healthy skincare and all that.” However, she did admit she was more aware of carbs and tried to stay away from bread and pasta and used pilates to make sure she was in tiptop shape

This is far from the first time Stewart has shown off her sexy side, you may recall one of her 2022 collaborations when she stood in her kitchen wearing nothing but an apron.

“Oh, hi there,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram. “I’m just enjoying the natural flavor of pumpkin spice from Green Mountain Coffee Roasters … and nothing else … literally”

Green Mountain’s new line of autumn-inspired coffees are made without artificial flavors and Stewart, who turned 81 in August, posted the free-spirited clip to share the news.

“I don’t drink anything that’s artificial,” Stewart told TODAY. “I don’t generally open cans to take a drink of something. I want to drink fresh-brewed, wholesome, natural.”

The lifestyle icon also recently made headlines for the stunning looks she posted as part of the “Teenage Dirtbag” trend on TikTok and Instagram, where folks share photos of their grungy teen years.

And while she didn’t exactly follow directions (which usually include posting your less-than-flattering retro looks), the throwback garnered praises from all over the internet, praising her timeless fashion sense.

In her newest venture, Stewart pairs with Green Mountain on their natural line of coffees, which include Pumpkin Spice, Maple Pecan, and Dark Chocolate Hazelnut flavors, and said that the partnership makes sense: “They make very good coffee,” she told TODAY.

And the extra caffeine probably comes in handy as the star’s schedule is more than hectic.

“I have long, long days,” she said, as well as some long nights too.

Recently, the celebrity chef celebrated model and entrepreneur Karlie Kloss‘ 30th birthday party earlier this week, which Stewart told the outlet was “so much fun.”

“(It’s) so unlike anything we’ve done for the last two and half years because of Covid,” Stewart said. “She had a big, big, birthday bash and all the supermodels were there. All the great, young guys were there. It was a very fun party.”

And no matter what times she gets home, Stewart reveals the one thing she does every night.

“You must, must, completely clean your face.” Then, she said to use whatever creams or lotions necessary to wake up looking your best the next day.

As far as the rest of her bedtime routine goes, Stewart said she’s got “a very bad habit.”

Instead of watching television (she said she doesn’t have a working TV in her bedroom), Stewart is a fan of her iPads.

“I have two iPads next to my bed, fully charged, just in case,” she said. While Stewart understands technology before bed is likely to contribute to her insomnia, that doesn’t stop her from using it to do games, puzzles, and read The New York Times.

“I do all of that while I’m lying in bed,” she said. As for what keeps her up at night? “I have lots to think about,” said Stewart.

Currently, she can’t stop thinking about the giant plant maze she’s installing on her property.

“I was thinking about the maze, reading all the books about mazes and the history of mazes,” she said. And when the project is complete, Stewart said it will take up almost three acres and be big enough to walk her horse through.

In addition, she says she also lies awake at night wondering what she’s going to wear to any given event and if there’s enough time in the day to accomplish what she needs to do.

“What I am gonna wear? What’s my wardrobe for tomorrow?” Stewart said. “And am I going to be able to get everything done in time to do the last thing I have to do in the day?”

Aside from her insomnia, Stewart admits she’d rather be busy than idle. “I have a lot to do and, you know what? Luckily I do. What if I had nothing to do today? I don’t know what I would possibly be doing.”
