The month after Archie Harrison Mountbatten Windsor was born, his mother, Meghan Markle, wrote his father, Prince Harry, a poem in celebration of his first Father’s Day. While the contents of that poem have remained private, it inspired Markle to do more, like write a children’s book based on said poem.

And that book is soon to be available for purchase worldwide. According to a press release shared by Random House Children’s Books, Markle revealed that the book is called “The Bench” and the illustrations were created by Caldecott-winning artist Christian Robinson.

In the release, Markle added that “Christian layered in beautiful and ethereal watercolor illustrations that capture the warmth, joy, and comfort of the relationship between fathers and sons from all walks of life.” She continued by saying, “This representation was particularly important to me, and Christian and I worked closely to depict this special bond through an inclusive lens. My hope is that The Bench resonates with every family, no matter the makeup, as much as it does with mine.”

As it is known, Prince Harry is a retired captain of the British Army.

According to Amazon, The Bench will be released to the public in one month, on June 8, just a few weeks before Father’s Day. And, around the time Markle and Harry are expected to become parents of two with the arrival of their baby girl.
