Weeks after sharing scary dinner time moment, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino is sharing a happier statement.
He and his wife are now parents of three.
“Gym Tan Situation Family of 5,” Mike wrote alongside a picture of himself, his wife, and his new daughter, Luna Lucia. “We are overjoyed to announce the newest member of our growing Italian family.”
“Luna Lucia Sorrentino born March 6th 2024 at 3:49pm weighing in at 5 pounds 6 ounces and 18.25 inches in length. 3 under 3 will be quite the situation but we wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Reality television star Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino, best known for The Jersey Shore, is sharing video of a scary situation that occurred while he and his family were having dinner together at their home.
Mike and his wife, Lauren, have two children; Mia Bella and Romeo Reign. Currently, Lauren is pregnant with their third child.
While having family dinner last night, Mike and Lauren endured “the scariest moment of our lives,” when their son Romeo was eating his favorite past dish and started choking. The moment was captured on the family’s ring camera.
@itsthesituation THE SCARIEST MOMENT OF OUR LIVES ‼️ It was an ordinary dinner at the Situations when suddenly without notice Romeo started choking on his favorite pasta pesto gnocchi !! He hunched over and wasn’t breathing ???? I am so proud of how my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate and eventually dislodged the food which was blocking airway and saved his life. I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful things worked out ???????? it’s safe to say we are now taking CPR lessons and Romeo won’t be having gnocchi anytime soon.

“It was an ordinary dinner at the Situations when suddenly without notice Romeo started choking on his favorite pasta pesto gnocchi!! He hunched over and wasn’t breathing,” Mike explained on TikTok.
“I am so proud of how my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate and eventually dislodged the food which was blocking [his] airway and saved his life. I love my family with all my heart and am so grateful things worked out.”
In the video, Lauren was seen calming her son down after getting the food dislodged from his throat and explaining the situation to him. Sadly, after attempting to get their son to finish his meal after the scary ordeal, Romeo admitted he didn’t want to anymore.
In the end, while Mike and Lauren were able to safely get their son out of the life or death situation, the reality star admitted they could have been even more prepared. “It’s safe to say we are now taking CPR lessons and Romeo won’t be having gnocchi anytime soon,” Mike wrote.
There are several ways other people can learn from Mike and Lauren’s situation as well. Currently, the Red Cross offers in person and online classes for parents to learn proper CPR procedures so they too can be prepared for a situation like this.
There are also chocking devices that parents can by to have on hand at all times to aid in situations like this “LifeVac Choking Rescue Device for Kids and Adults” available on Amazon.
We are so glad Romeo is okay.
