Baby dropping is very common for pregnant women, especially when they are very close to their due date. The uncommon party of baby dropping is catching the exact moment it happens on camera.

However, one expectant mama was lucky enough to do so. As the mom, known as Nabs on TikTok revealed, she was taking a video of her growing bump when she sees it happen.

Nabs reaction was also caught on camera. You can see her mouth the word, “whoa,” as she notices her belly drop.

The mom also shared a photo of what her baby bump looked like just 48 hours after seeing it drop. And commenters were just as shocked by the moment as Nabs.

“Every day I realize I literally know nothing about pregnancy,” one commenter wrote. “I dropped while standing in a Macy’s. An older woman saw it happen and started crying because she thought it was beautiful. Scared me though,” another said.

“I feel like that whoa was partially the drop and partially the ability to breathe a little better all of a sudden,” a fellow mom wrote. “I swear I didn’t know this was a physical thing. Pregnancy is wild.”

According to Healthline, “your baby dropping is one of the first signs that your body’s getting ready for labor.” And the act of your baby dropping is actually called lightening.

“It happens when the baby’s head literally ‘drops’  lower into your pelvis, becoming engaged within your pubic bones. This starts the baby’s descent down and out into the world. Lightening can start as early as a few weeks before labor actually begins. But for some women, it happens only a few hours before labor starts.”

When a baby drops there are a few things a mother may immediately experience. A mom may notice that they can suddenly breathe easier but also may start to feel a lot more pressure on their pelvis and bladder.

As Healthline reports, every pregnancy is different. But do you remember the moment your baby dropped?
