Arrest Warrant Issued for NFL Star and Super Bowl MVP Von Miller

UPDATE: New reports have revealed that NFL Star Von Miller has turned himself in.

According to CNN, Miller turned himself in to “the Glenn Heights Police Department Thursday afternoon.” Miller has still not issued a statement regarding the situation between him and his girlfriend.

After turning himself in, Miller immediately posted a $5,000 bond and was released.

An arrest warrant has been issued for NFL star Von Miller.

According to several reports, the warrant has been issued following an incident involving Miller and a woman known to be pregnant that took place on November 29 around 11 a.m.

As police revealed in a statement, on November 29th, officers responded to a “major disturbance call” near Dallas, Texas. The caller explained that there was a “verbal” dispute between Miller and the woman before the dispute turned physical.

Before officers got to the scene, the one-time Super Bowl MVP had reportedly fled. The woman was treated at the scene for “minor injuries” but did not go to the hospital.

Reports allege that Miller grabbed the woman by the neck and hair before shoving her multiple times. While the woman’s identity has not been made public, the New York Post identified her as Miller’s girlfriend.

TMZ reports that documents revealed the argument between Miller and the woman began during a discussion about their weekend travel plans. Things turned physical after the woman reportedly slammed a door to one of the rooms in their house. 

After Miller asked the woman to leave the house, the woman said she would after she grabbed a laptop and a cell phone. That’s when the woman alleged Miller took the computer and threw it to the ground before stomping on it.

Miller then allegedly “pulled her by her hair, ultimately pulling a chunk of hair out and causing her to fall to the ground.” The documents continued further claiming that Miller then pushed the woman on the couch before going of her neck.

“While the altercation was going on,” officials wrote in the warrant, the woman “kept yelling ‘Stop I’m pregnant,’” TMZ reported. The woman then alleged that Miller grabbed her neck for about “3 to 5 seconds before letting go.” 

The woman said she was in pain but didn’t have difficulty breathing. “When [the woman] got up she stated to [Miller] she was going to call for police, resulting in [Miller] leaving the residence.”

Police noted visible abrasions on the woman’s left hand and bruising on her neck, abdomen, and left bicep. She told police she was six weeks pregnant.

Currently, Miller is a linebacker for the Buffalo Bills. The NFL and the Bills issued statements following the arrest warrant being issued.

“This morning, we were made aware of an incident involving Von Miller. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at this point,” the Bills origination wrote. 

The NFL similarly said, “We are aware of the matter and have been in contact with the club. We have no further comment at this time.”

The Bills currently have a bye week. Miller has not yet been arrested.
