Nick Cannon, a dad of seven, wants more babies if it aligns with God’s plan.
In a recent Harlem press tour, TMZ reporters asked the 40-year-old if he was planning on having any more kids in the future.
“God willing, if God sees it that way — then that’s what I’m gonna keep doing,” he responded.
Nick is currently the father to a total of seven children: Monroe and Moroccan (who he shares with ex-wife Mariah Carey), Golden and Powerful Queen (who he shares with Brittany Bell), Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir (who he shares with DJ Abby De La Rosa), and Zen (who he shares with Alyssa Scott).
His twins with Mariah are the oldest at 10 years old, while Zen, who he shares with Alyssa, is the youngest at just 3 months old.
Allegedly, the choice to have so many children is not only up to God (according to Nick) but also up to the women in his life.
“Those women, and all women, are the ones that open themselves up and say, ‘I would like to allow this man into my world and I will birth this child,'” Nick said during an appearance on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. “It ain’t my decision. I’m just following suit.”
In a previous apperance on the show, Cannon elaborated on how fatherhood has affected him as well as his views on relationships.

“The beauty of fatherhood, when you really talk about living as a father, I’ve learned so much just from my children, and it’s so amazing. I really just love being around my kids. That youthful energy, it feels like you get to relive every time. I think I’ve been through so much in my life physically, mentally, and spiritually, the best place that I find is the time that I spend with my kids and that energy. And to get as much of that as possible and to pass on all that I’ve lived into something else, that’s why I do it, man.”
And when it comes to choosing to have children with multiple women, Cannon says at the end of the day, no one should “have” anything.
“That’s a Eurocentric concept when you think about the ideas of you’re supposed to have this one person for the rest of your life. And really that’s just to classify property when you think about it. When you go into that mindset if we’re really talking that talk, the idea that a man should have one woman,” Cannon continued. “We shouldn’t have anything. I have no ownership over this person.”
