Olivia Wilde Accuses Jason Sudeikis of Trying to Litigate Her Into Debt During Intense Custody Battle

The custody battle between Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis is starting to heat up again – right when things started to be taking a positive turn. Last week, Wilde filed a declaration in LA court that accused her ex-husband of acting ‘in bad faith’ and attempting to ‘litigate Olivia into debt’ with ‘filing after filing.’

The former couple was scheduled to appear in court on Friday to determine whether the custody battle should be decided in Los Angeles, where Olivia resides, or New York City, where Jason resides. That court hearing never happened because a judge denied Jason’s request to have it moved to New York.

This is actually the second time a judge denied the request – the first denial coming in August 2022. While Sudeikis tried to file a claim, that claim was denied on Thursday – after Olivia had already filed her declaration. Now, Olivia is accusing Jason of using his wealth to defeat her in court – and it’s working.

As part of the declaration, Olivia Wilde is admitting that she can’t keep up with the growing cost of this custody battle. She’s alleging that Jason Sudeikis’ net worth is considerably more than her net worth and even went into detail about how much she is worth and what her monthly expenses are as of right now.

Wilde admitted that her current net worth is $10,569,736 and even broke it down by category; “$645,187 in bank accounts, $3,902,689 in stocks and bonds and $6,021,860 in real estate and other property,” according to Daily Mail. She also revealed that her current monthly income is roughly $72,000 per month.

With that said, she’s currently spending more than $107,000 per month – including $58,000 in mortgage payments, $4,000 in laundry and cleaning, $6,500 on utilities, $7,500 in child care, and nearly $6,000 for education. While she claims Sudeikis is worth more than her, those claims have not yet been proven.

“While Jason can afford to spin his wheels with filing after filing, Olivia cannot,” her lawyers argued last week. “Jason seems intent on throwing whatever he can against the wall to see what will stick, and this Request for Order seeking a stay of the California Parentage action is just the latest example.”

Olivia Wilde Was Recently Blindsided By Sudeikis

Earlier this year, Olivia Wilde thought things were taking a positive turn when they were scheduled to start speaking with a family therapist in early January. In her declaration, she explained that she ‘thought things were calming down and were going to move forward in a more amicable, respectful fashion,’ she wrote.

She went on to explain that, while she was busy ‘negotiating the parenting time schedule,’ Jason was busy plotting and scheming against her with legal tactics – one of which being an attempt to move the court hearings to New York City, which would increase expenses for Olivia and ultimately favor Sudeikis.

“Apparently he had learned that the court date for our first appearance was January 4, 2023, and purposefully did not advise me of it, nor did his lawyer advise my lawyers. Not knowing the date, neither I nor my lawyers appeared,” she further explained – adding that Sudeikis has been moving ‘in bad faith.’

She described his ‘underhandedness’ as ‘astounding’ and explained that she is ‘completely perplexed at why he believes that engaging in intimidation or trickery will serve him or our children’s best interests.’ While she scored a win with the hearings staying in Los Angeles, it’s clear things are only getting uglier.
