Our Prayers Are With The Rock’s Mom as She Continues to Recover From Devastating Accident

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is updating the world on how his mom is doing after revealing the scary car accident she was involved in.

On February 2, Johnson took to Instagram to share a photo of a seriously banged-up red Escalade. He went on to reveal that the Escalade was his mom’s and that she had been in a serious car accident.

However, despite how the vehicle looked, The Rock assured his fans that his mom is doing well following the accident. “Thank you, God, ???????? she’s ok,” he wrote.

As Johnson revealed, the accident took place during the early morning hours of February 2. “Thank you, LAPD & LAFD, for being so caring & focused. Thanks for staying on phone and talking me thru it all,” Johnson wrote.

“I got one parent left, so if you still got your mom and dad make sure you hug ‘em hard, cause you never know when you’ll get that 3am call we never want to get.”

Johnson continued adding that his mom has always been a survivor, and this incident is no different. “Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night.”

“She’ll survive and continue to get evaluated. This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head-on collision with a drunk driver, and attempted suicide. She’s a survivor in ways that make angels and miracles real.”

We are so glad to hear that, as are some of The Rock’s most famous friends, like Michael Phelps, Lindsey Vonn, and Terry Crews, who took to the comments section to offer their well wishes to Mama Johnson.

As Mamas Uncut reported in October 2022, while talking with CBS Sunday Morning’s Tracy Smith, Smith grilled The Rock about the reality of him running for president. After all, America is no stranger to men with zero political experience running and winning presidential elections.

Johnson told Smith that he’s seriously considered the idea of having up his acting hat and becoming a politician himself. But now, that’s “off the table.”

“I will say this because it requires the B-side to this,” Johnson told Smith. “I love our country and everyone in it. I also love being a daddy. And that’s the most important thing to me, is being a daddy.”

The Rock continued to say that his career once made it difficult to be completely present in his eldest daughter’s life. He doesn’t want to make that same mistake with his two youngest daughters’ lives.

“Especially during this time, this critical time in my daughters’ lives. Because I know what it was like to be on the road and be so busy that I was absent for a lot of years in my first daughter’s… growing up in this critical age at this critical time in her life. And that’s what the presidency will do. So my number 1 priority is my daughters. Sure, CEO sounds great, but the number 1 thing I want to be is daddy. That’s it.”

Last year after a poll revealed that at least 46 percent of the responses would like to see The Rock in Oval Office, the actor admitted that he was humbled some people think so highly of him, People reported. At the time, he told People that he loves “our country to my core, and I’m endlessly grateful for the opportunities I’ve had here, as a half-Black, half-Samoan kid being able to work my ass off knowing tenacity opens doors. In a lot of ways, I’m indebted to our great country for it.”

Nonetheless, even before The Rock made his final decision, he admitted that he’s never had political aspirations and never considered a run for president until other people started considering it for him. “I’m not a politician, nor did I ever have political passions. And quite frankly, I’m not sure I even have the patience or resignation to deal with the B.S. that comes with politics and politicians,” Johnson continued to tell People.

“But when 46 percent of Americans say they’re in favor of me becoming president, that forces me to humbly and respectfully stand up, listen and learn,” he admitted.

So, for now, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson will take the fruit of his labors and enjoy them by becoming the best daddy he can be to his girls. Because honestly, what better role is there than being a parent?
