While a guest on Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield’s podcast, Mike Tindall, shared some privileged information about Prince William.
Mike Tindall is married to Zara, Princess Anne’s daughter and Prince William’s cousin. While a guest on the podcast, Burrow asked Mike if there were any fun nicknames for any of the members of the royal family and if he could share any of them.
As we all know, Prince Phillip used to affectionally call the Queen “Lilibet” and Harry is technically a nickname as well given his birth name is actually Henry.
And Mike didn’t disappoint with his answer, the Mirror reported.
“The Prince of Wales is known to me as ‘One-Pint Willy’ because he’s not the best of drinkers,” Mike told the former Rugby players. “Coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often. That is one I will definitely give away for the Prince of Wales. One-Pint Willy. It’s out there now, sorry, Sir.”
And if it wasn’t clear that was privileged information, Zara made it known when she immediately told Mike, “You’re in so much trouble!”
A month later, Prince William was welcomed as a guest on the show and revealed how he felt about his cheeky nickname being shared with the world.
“It was you who got the nicknames out of him,” Wills said to Burrow. “He apologized to me about that. When I saw him, I said, ‘Mike, when you’re not going to mention your nicknames doesn’t mean you mention mine, it’s not fair.’ I’m sure it’s quite fun with Mike.”
Well now we have to know…what is Mike’s nickname?
