Princess Eugenie beams with joy in a new photo she shared of herself holding baby August. On Wednesday, the new mom shared fresh photos of her son a day after her 31st birthday. The photos showcase members of her growing family with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, holding August Philip Hawke who was born on February 9.

“Thank you for the birthday love yesterday❤️.. I got the best present I could ask for!!” Princess Eugenie captioned the two new photos on Instagram. In the photo, the couple smile at one another as they cradle their royal progeny.
The little babe can be seen wearing a very stylish jumper, what Americans would call a sweater, that is decorated with baby August’s name in blue lettering across the back. In the second image the Princess shared, we get a look at August’s eyes as he looks straight into the camera.
Eugenie and Jack named their son August Philip Hawke. The middle name she chose for her baby honors her grandfather Prince Philip who recently returned to Windsor Castle after a month-long stay in the hospital and underwent heart surgery.
Now, the new parents are all settled in with their little one at Frogmore Cottage (once the Windsor home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) near August’s grandparents.

Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her granddaughter’s birthday on Tuesday with a sweet message delivered on social media.
“Wishing Princess Eugenie a very happy birthday today!” the message read. And, yes, the Queen included a birthday cake and heart emoji.
Following the birth of August, Princess Eugenie shared photos of her new family of three in the backyard.
“We wanted to introduce you to August Philip Hawke Brooksbank,” the Princess wrote at the time. “Thank you for so many wonderful messages. Our hearts are full of love for this little human, words can’t express. We are excited to be able to share these photos with you.”
A source recently told People that Eugenie is “doing really well” following a C-section due to a previous spinal surgery for scoliosis.
The source also said that Eugenie “sounded very content and said the baby is a complete dream!”

On Britain’s Mother’s Day, which they celebrate on March 14, Princess Eugenie shared a photo of her child sleeping on a blanket outside surrounded by beautiful flowers. “I’m so excited to be August’s mum and as you can see I’m enjoying my first Mother’s Day,” she wrote at the time.
