Star of the reality TV series, Queer Eye, Tan France has begun his journey to hot daddy status. On Tuesday, the fashionable host announced that he and his husband are expecting their first child together!
Tan France and his partner, Rob, both shared charming “pregnancy announcement” posts on their social media accounts. The couple will have their baby via surrogate.
Tan France Announced His Baby News on Instagram with a Cheeky Photo and Assurances to Fans That He, Himself, Is Not Actually Pregnant.
“So happy to finally share that WE’RE HAVING A BABY!! No, I’m not pregnant, despite this VERY realistic pic,” Tan France captioned a shirtless photo of himself with a sonogram superimposed on his stomach. “With the greatest gift/help of the most wonderful surrogate, Rob and I are lucky enough to be on our way to being parents, this Summer.”
“Something we’ve wanted for SOooo many years,” he continued in the touching caption. “Our hearts are so full right now. I cannot wait to hold this baby, and to show him so much love.”

Tan’s partner, Rob who is an artist, expressed his own excitement about the news, sharing a creative and sweet illustration on Instagram of a baby that he had created. The image shows an infant in black, grey, and pink beneath a golden, sunny orb.
“We have a beautiful little angel on the way and I didn’t think it was humanly possible to feel like this,” the artist captioned the image.
In a September 2019 interview with NPR’s Terry Gross, Tan shared that he “always wanted to be a father.”
“I’ve wanted children since I was 19, 20. If I’d had a stable relationship at that time, I would have desperately tried to have children,” he explained at the time, noting that “surrogacy for gay men costs a heck of a lot.”

“I was going to be a stay-at-home dad, which is something I’ve wanted for many, many, many years. And so that was the plan,” he told Gross. “And I actually — crazily, I still want six. I don’t know if that’s going to happen, but yeah, I still want six children.”
In February, the dapper dad-to-be opened up to People about his partner. He explained that Rob is “really handsome” and “he just tells me I’m beautiful every day.” Can you say relationship goals?

“Every day, he just tells me how much he loves me and everything he loves about me, and I do the same for him,” he told the outlet. “And it’s not something we said ‘Oh we should do this for each other.’ We just started doing it.”
How cute is that? We are so excited for this couple. Tan France has shown plenty of compassion, patience, and care as a host on Queer Eye. We imagine these qualities will aid him on his fatherhood journey. Congrats Tan and Rob! We know these guys will be wonderful dads.
