One little toddler has all the confidence he needs after getting an entire restaurant to hype him up for showing off his “muscles.”
“We took a family getaway to Greenport, NY @claudioswaterfronts this weekend and last night it began to downpour so we were stuck in the restaurant waiting it out,” the caption began.
“Jen’s little guy Liam was putting his arms up in the air ‘showing his muscle’ when the table behind us began to hype him up,” the caption continued of the tiny but mighty toddler.
Next thing we knew the entire restaurant was joining in every time Liam threw his hands up. This went on for about five minutes straight, including the chefs and bartenders coming out from the kitchen and behind the bar to join in, I think it’s the hardest we ever laughed.”
“After the past year and a half it felt so nice to feel ‘close’ again to strangers, sharing in a collective, social, experience,” the caption concluded. We are confident the toddler made everyone feel happy to be sharing the space again.
According to their website, Milestones Pediatric Therapy “is a team dedicated to working collaboratively with your family and the community to help all children achieve their goals.”
They also “provide Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy in both ongoing and regular therapy sessions, and as-needed consultations with families.”
If you are not familiar with physical therapy for toddlers, it is where “pediatric physical therapists use their skill set to increase independence in children to allow them to be active participants in their personal environments.”
While occupational pediatric therapists “address impairments and conditions that impact a child’s ability to carry out their ‘occupations’ which are really just all of their many daily activities.”
Lastly, pediatric speech therapists “offer a variety of services to help children who have difficulties being able to expressively communicate, understand language, or pronounce words clearly.”
Per the website, your toddler may benefit from a physical therapy evaluation if:
- They have difficulty independently moving through their environment
- They are delayed in reaching their motor milestones
- They have limited endurance, decreasing their participation in play
- They are experiencing pain
- They are unsafe with motor activities because of poor balance
