Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been arrested after allegedly attacking a partner in Los Angeles on Thursday morning. The reality TV personality, best known for his work on MTV’s Jersey Shore, was arrested in the Northridge area where his 3-year-old daughter was present.
He was taken into custody on “suspicion of intimate partner violence with injuries and with priors,” a spokesperson for the LAPD told People.

The reality star, 35, was taken to Van Nuys jail before he posted $100,000 bail later the same day.
Ortiz-Magro’s daughter Ariana, 3, whom he shares with ex-girlfriend, Jen Harley, was in his care at the time of the incident, a source told People. She was later taken to her mother. Harley was not involved in the incident, the insider said.
“We have just learned of the new allegations against Ronnie and need some additional time to further investigate,” lawyers for Ortiz-Magro told TMZ. “As such, we will not be making any other statements at this time.”
The Jersey Shore alum is currently on probation as part of a plea deal he agreed to in 2020 in a previous domestic violence case involving Harley.
In May of last year, Ortiz-Magro pled no contest to one count of domestic battery and one count of resisting arrest, TMZ also reported at the time. After entering the plea, he was ordered to complete 36 months probation, 30 days of community service, and to donate $20,000 to a battered women’s shelter in LA.
There have been a number of volatile incidents between Harley and Ortiz-Magro through the years with each accusing the other of various domestic abuse. However, it appears that Harley was not involved in the latest incident.
We are saddened that, yet again, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been accused of domestic violence. What’s worse is that his young child could have witnessed the incident in Northridge. For her sake, we hope that’s not the case.
