Yesterday (May 12, 2019), Duchess Meghan Markle shared a new photo of her baby boy, Archie Harrison, in honor of the Mother’s Day holiday.
Markle and husband Prince Harry welcomed their first child last week. Shortly after, they made their first public appearance together as a family, giving the world its first glimpse at the youngest royal. At that time, they also revealed the name they gave to him.
Since then, we haven’t heard much from Markle (understandably!), although Prince Harry reportedly went straight back to work, making a public appearance in The Hague on behalf of the Invictus Games. But yesterday, Markle shared a new photo of Archie to the official Sussex Royal Instagram account with an inspiring message for moms across the globe.
“Paying tribute to all mothers today,” the Instagram caption reads, ” past, present, mothers-to-be, and those lost but forever remembered. We honor and celebrate each and every one of you.”
And of course, this important tidbit: “This is the first Mother’s Day for the Duchess of Sussex.”
Happy first Mother’s Day, Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex! That’s always an exciting one.

The new photo is only of Archie’s feet, but look: we’ve already seen photos of his face, and who doesn’t love teeny-tiny, super-cute baby feet with the even teenier-tinier little toes?! We certainly aren’t complaining!
Previously, the official Sussex Royal Instagram account shared photos from the Duke and Duchess’s big press event, in which they revealed Archie (and his name) to the world for the first time.
Once again, a very happy first Mother’s Day to Duchess Meghan and to every mom out there. We love you!
