Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are officially parents of FOUR! Fans have been waiting for this day for the past couple weeks and, while the couple have yet to make the official announcement, they did so in a discreet way – taking to Instagram to post a photo together with one thing missing, Blake’s baby bump!
The photo was honoring ‘Puppy Bowl Sunday 2023,’ according to the caption, but she also ended that caption with ‘been busy,’ which all-but confirms what the two have been up to lately. And since there wasn’t an official announcement, fans are still waiting for the baby’s birth date, gender, name, and photo.
The Instagram post also featured Ryan Reynolds’ mother, Tammy Reynolds, alongside the couple and several photos of the delicious food they had on hand for the Puppy Bowl – which took place before the Super Bowl. By the looks of the food, you’d think Blake was still experiencing those pregnancy cravings.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds now have an even-fuller household with baby No. 4 joining their three daughters – Betty (born October 4, 2019), Inez (born September 30, 2016), and James (born December 6, 2014). The power couple started dating in October 2011 and tied the knot on September 9, 2012.
Once fans caught on to what was going on with the discreet announcement, all the attention turned to how incredibly-amazing Blake looked – as if she was never pregnant to begin with. The comments section was overflowing with praise, jealousy, confusion, and every other emotion under the sun.
“She discreetly gives birth and then looks like this right afterwards in a tight shirt. She’s good at this,” said one user, with another adding, “I mean, jealous you fit into jeans. My last baby is 96 months and I’m still wearing leggings.” Some were applauding their ability to keep their personal life as private as possible.
Others to comment on the photo were Rob Liefeld – who co-created the Deadpool character that Reynolds perfectly portrayed. He called it an ‘Epic post! For all the reasons!!!’ Animal Planet, which televised the Puppy Bowl, commented “Totally paw-some: Thanks for watching, Blake! ????????????”

Blake Lively’s flat stomach wasn’t the only thing that debuted on Instagram on Sunday. At the same time as her “baby announcement,” she posted a video ad for Betty Buzz – a company founded by Lively in September 2021, which offers a range of ‘mixer products’ for those that drink – or don’t drink – alcohol.
“Nepo Commercial. We couldn’t afford the Super Bowl. Or a celebrity endorsement. So I had a family member voice a commercial for the Puppy Bowl. Killin it,” she wrote in the caption. And for those that don’t recognize the ‘family member voice,’ it was Ryan Reynolds – I mean, who else, am I right?
The commercial had a vintage feel to it as Blake Lively was seen chugging the world’s famous ginger beer. “Sip it. Down it. Or enjoy it all on its own,” Reynolds says in a raspy voice. “Pair it with rum. Pair it with tequila. Pair it with whiskey. Pair it with anything – especially your mouth. Betty Buzz,” he continued.
