On June 15, Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram to share a trailer for his TV project, Bedtime Stories With Ryan – which premiered on fuboTV’s Maximum Effort Channel on June 20. The trailer shows Reynolds in a pair of pajamas as he sits down in a comfortable rocking chair and prepares to read a bedtime story.
“The idea for a show made to help everyone fall asleep was born the same day as my fourth child. I can’t wait for you to watch Bedtime Stories, premiering June 20th,” he wrote in the caption – shouting out the newest addition to the family, who was born earlier in the year, yet we still know absolutely nothing about.
“You know the best part about stories? You remember them. They stay with you. And I want to tell you a bedtime story,” Ryan Reynolds says in the trailer. “Now, rest your tired bones and remember, whatever you do, don’t fall asleep,” he adds as he sits down on top of a roof and stares up at the nighttime stars.
The show marks the beginning of Ryan’s partnership with fuboTV through his Maximum Effort production company – his Bedtime Stories With Ryan is the first original show on the new channel. It’s set to run for 15 episodes as Ryan ‘reads new and classic bedtime stories in an attempt to soothe your mind and soul.’
In an official statement, Reynolds expressed how happy he was to ‘create a program with the express goal of putting people to sleep.’ He explained how storytime is a nighttime staple in the Reynolds-Lively household and described it as a ‘daily reminder of the power of storytelling’ – something he has mastered.
Another thing he mastered? Being a father! He and his wife, Blake Lively, have welcomed four children since tying the knot in September 2012 – James (b. Dec. 16, 2014), Inez (b. Sept. 30, 2016), Betty (b. Oct. 4, 2019), and the mystery child (they haven’t revealed the baby’s name, date, or gender yet).
“Look, we wouldn’t do this four times if we didn’t love it. I think if we hadn’t figured it out by now, I think we’d be in deep, deep trouble,” he said in an interview earlier this year – adding that his house resembles a zoo, but emphasizing that everyone (including Blake and the newborn) are excited and doing fantastic.
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Make Surprise Visit on ‘Great British Baking Show’
On Friday (June 23), Ryan Reynolds shared a photo of himself alongside Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith – the co-hosts of the Great British Baking Show. It appears the 46-year-old actor/entrepreneur is a big fan of the cooking show – “A full and unconditional hug of pure serotonin,” he wrote in the Instagram caption.
Hollywood went on to share the same photo on his own Instagram, but followed that up with another photo – this one with Blake Lively. It appears both Ryan and Blake took a trip to the show and Hollywood even teased a more permanent stay. “Sorry Prue, Blake has taken your seat,” he wrote in the caption.
The two have had their own run-ins with cooking in the past. Blake is quite the cook and creates some unique dishes and desserts – remember the watermelon cake in 2021? On the other hand, Ryan isn’t much of a cook and has had some head-scratching moments in the past, but he does try – which counts.

Ryan Reynolds took to Instagram in 2018 to share a photo of a cake he baked for his wife – it was covered in strawberries and shaped like a heart. He has also botched Christmas cookies in the past, which his wife made fun of him for – joking that he can’t bake, but he’s ‘verrry handsome though.’
