Senator Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., has passed away. She was 90 years old.
Prior to her passing, Feinstein was a member of the Senate for 30 years. She was the oldest member of the Senate when she died.
Her passing comes just months after she announced that she would retire at the end of her term. Feinstein had dealt with a myriad of health issues.
During her time in the Senate, Feinstein fought for several gun control measures and was a staunch advocate for the ban on assault weapons from 1994 to 2004.
