Actress Shay Mitchell is currently very, very pregnant and is willing to do anything to help her body go into labor, including dancing for nearly three minutes straight. Look, dancing for 180 seconds might not seem like a long time, but when you’re nine months pregnant, it doesn’t take much to make a mama winded.
Mitchell wrote on YouTube, “I’m officially overdue and trying everything… dancing, extra spicy Prince Street pizza, turmeric ice cream (although Matte seems to be having more of it than I do). If the Baby Mama Dance won’t work, what will??”
On October 10, Mitchell took to YouTube and uploaded a video of her and her boyfriend, Matte Babel, dancing to a song called “Baby Mama Dance.” Over the last several months, the song has gone viral with thousands of pregnant women dancing along to the relatable lyrics.
Some of the lyrics read:
“One month, two month, three month, four
Hit the baby mama when I’m stepping through the door
Yeah I’m pregnant but I got an ill flow
Tryna make some money buy some Huggies from the store.”
And as the song plays in the background, Mitchell can be seen dancing all through her home, eventually ending up in her kitchen with Babel (who is seen eating that turmeric icecream the actress was talking about).
And after dancing like no one was watching, Mitchell treated herself to a slice of what can only be assumed to be an extra spicy Prince Street pizza. The video received more than 4.4 million views with many people, including some of her Pretty Little Liar co-stars, commenting on how impressive they found it.

A few other ways expectant mothers who are past due can try inducing labor naturally, according to Healthline, including exercise, sex, acupuncture, and certain teas. However, definitely consult with your physician before trying any of these methods!
Over the last several months, since making her pregnancy public, Mitchell has been open and honest about her pregnancy journey thus far. She’s shared the highs — like learning they are expecting a baby girl — and the lows —like dealing with prepartum depression — throughout her pregnancy.
As far as the public knows, Mitchell and Babel are still awaiting the arrival of their first child.
