Retirement has gotten off to a rocky start for Elton John. Reports are offering an update on Sir John Elton after he was rushed to the hospital last night.
Sir Elton John, 76, Hospitalized After Suffering a Fall
According to the BBC, Elton was at his home in the South of France when he slipped and fell. The iconic performer was then taken to a local hospital “as a precautionary measure,” Elton’s spokesman confirmed.
Thankfully, as the spokesman continued, following several check-ups at the orthopedic department of Princess Grace Hospital, Elton was deemed by doctors to be in good health. “Following check-ups, he was immediately discharged this morning and is now back at home and in good health.”
Elton currently lives in the South of France with his husband David Furnish and their two children. The family has been there since Elton officially retired from live performances in July.
Elton is now 76 years old.
However, while Elton will no longer perform live, that doesn’t mean he is retired from making music. Although it’s unclear if he has anything in the works, this definitely won’t be the last time we hear from him.
