Tiffany Haddish Speaks Out for the First Time Since Her Arrest

Tiffany Haddish is speaking out about her most recent arrest… kind of.

Just one day after being detained by police, Haddish hit the stage again for another stand-up show. And one of her jokes alluded to her recent arrest.

During the show, a member of the audience brought up her run-in with the law to which Haddish replied by saying, “Her prayers for a man in uniform were certainly answered.” The joke landed with roaring laughter, TMZ reported.

As Mamas Uncut previously reported, the comedic actress was arrested the day after Thanksgiving on November 24th.

Haddish was put in handcuffs and placed in the back of a police cruiser after she was discovered asleep behind the wheel of her car.

She is now facing a DUI charge.

As TMZ reports, 911 received a call from a passerby reporting a vehicle stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive around 5:45 a.m. Haddish was reportedly discovered in the driver’s seat, slumped over the wheel, while her car was still running.

After being cited for driving while under the influence, Haddish was not held but rather released hours later.

Haddish reportedly performed at The Laugh Factory Thursday night just hours before she was arrested. Sadly, this isn’t the first time Haddish has been charged with a DUI.

Haddish was also arrested under suspicion of DUI in January 2022. Her mugshot following the arrest went viral.

As Mamas Uncut reported in 2022, the circumstances between both arrests are eerily similar. However, in 2022 Haddish was arrested in Georgia.

In 2022, Haddish was also stopped by police and detained under suspicion of driving while under the influence after the comedian was also found falling asleep behind the wheel.

Similarly, police reportedly received a call about a driver who was falling asleep at the wheel. The caller gave a description of the car and reportedly located it pulling into a neighborhood around 4 a.m. on January 14.

Police believe Tiffany Haddish had smoked marijuana before getting behind the wheel. Just a couple of hours later, Haddish posted the $1,666 bond to get out of police custody.

After her mugshot was made public, people took notice of it. As many reports have pointed out, Haddish is seen with a smile on her face.

What’s next for Haddish legally is unclear. This is a developing story. Mamas Uncut will provide updates as they become available.
