An anonymous bride is getting slammed by TikTok this week after she fired her cousin as the maid of honor in her wedding due to her being “too fat.”
The woman who shared the text exchange between herself and the bride is a 27-year-old woman named Lia.

And while we can only read a bit of the conversation, Alejandra sounds like a piece of work.
“You know the bridesmaid group is not a therapy group,” Alejandra texted her cousin.
“Are you embarrassed?” Lia asked in reply.
“Of what,” wrote Alejandra. “Of telling you to go on a diet … no. It’s my wedding.”
And the awkwardnesss doesn’t stop there! She went on to call her own family member fat.
“Alejandra, you demoted me from maid of honor because I’m fat,” Lia told her cousin.
To which Alejandra quickly replied:
“Yes,” she shared. “Because you don’t have any control over yourself to go on a diet.”
“I like people with discipline,” the bride told Lia.

“You are still a bridesmaid,” Alejandra quipped before shutting down the conversation. “I’m going to sleep goodnight.”
She then tells her cousin to “have a goodnight” at the end of their conversation — yikes.
“Chick-fil-A after this text exchange with my cousin,” wrote Lia as a voiceover can be heard saying: “Food … is like a reward” in the background.
“Wanna see my IG DMs?” Lia replied. “She flips every time I post food. But I’m used to it, so I don’t take her seriously. She’s family.”
“She’s like my sister,” Lia admitted. “I’d regret not doing it even when she’s like this.”

“She barely eats so I feel like she projects her eating disorder on others?” Lia continued. “She’s not going to change so I ignore the fat-shaming and accept her as she is.”
Many TikTokers were quick to support Lia but also encouraged her to cut off contact with her cousin.
In a follow-up post, Lia also shared another cringey text exchange with Alejandra, where she asked her bridesmaids to not to buy “whore shoes” for the wedding.
“Coming to you with more wedding drama, because what is a wedding without bridesmaid drama?” she began her third video on the ordeal, informing her viewers she was “univinted” to the wedding.
“You guys said I should respect myself and not let people treat me like trash,” Lia said during the TikTok video. “I’m trying here. I’m doing my best.”
