A very scary video showing what some of the students at Oxford High School endured has been shared on TikTok. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, a 15-year-old sophomore from Oxford High School opened fire with his father’s handgun on November 30.
At first, it was reported that prior to being arrested by responding police officers, the gunman killed 3 students and injured at least six others, including a teacher. Now, a fourth victim has lost their life.
TikTok Video Shows Students Noticing ‘Red Flags’ During Oxford School Shooting
As the TikTok video showed, a handful of students were sitting in a locked classroom when someone attempted to get into the room claiming to be an officer from the Sheriff’s office. “Sheriff’s office. It’s safe to come out,” the voice is heard saying.
Someone in the classroom responded to the voice saying, “We’re not willing to take that risk right now!” The voice then told that person to “come to the door and look at my badge, Bro.”
After the students heard the voice use the word, “Bro,” they immediately saw it as a “red flag.” Although it has not been confirmed, it has been speculated that the voice may have been the gunman’s.
By the end of the video, the people inside the classroom were able to run to freedom by going through the classroom window. They were met by a first responder letting them know they were okay.
Three of the four deceased victims have been identified as Hana St. Juliana, 14, Madisyn Baldwin, 17, and Tate Myre, 16. “We received over 100 911 calls to our dispatch center,” Oakland County Undersheriff Michael G. McCabe said during his initial statements.
McCabe continued that within five minutes of police arriving at the scene the shooter was apprehended without incident. The first of the myriad of 911 calls came in at 12:51 p.m. It’s unclear at what time the police arrived at the school.
“At this point in time, we believe he acted alone,” McCabe continued. The suspect has since been identified as 15-year-old Ethan Crumbley.
According to The New York Post, Crumbley was allegedly bullied and used his father’s 9mm Sig Sauer which was purchased just four days before. Crumbley had been charged as an adult with murder, terrorism, assault, and weapons possession charges. Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald may also bring charges against his parents as well.
