Not Even Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Approves of Tom Brady Cliff-Jumping With His Six-Year-Old Daughter

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady jumped into a storm of controversy after posting a video to Instagram of him and his 6-year-old daughter, Vivian, cliff-jumping. In the video, the father-daughter can be seen in Costa Rica, standing on a small cliff near a waterfall.

The clip shows the thrill-seekers holding hands as Tom asks, “Are you ready?” and counts to three. Little Vivian appears hesitant but takes the leap and lands sideways in the water.

The father-of-three and husband to supermodel Gisele Bündchen captioned the video, “If Vivi is going to be an Olympic champion one day, it probably won’t be in synchronized diving. Daddy always gives her a 10 though!”

The video received a great deal of criticism, with followers expressing their concern for Vivian’s safety and condemning the football star’s judgment.

Commenters called Brady “irresponsible” for cliff-jumping with his young daughter and for posting the video to his 6.3 million Instagram followers. Some commenters pointed out that Vivian could have “dislocated her shoulder” or otherwise seriously hurt herself.

One commenter even said, “If this wasn’t Tom Brady, folks will say this child abuse.”

Even actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson couldn’t help but weigh in by commenting, “You KNOW I have complete faith in you as a man, friend, player and father — but this just gave me anxiety. Geeezus.”

When you don’t even have a daredevil like The Rock on your side, it might be time to reevaluate!

Meanwhile, Gisele shared some less controversial snaps from their family vacation. The couple has been in paradise with daughter Vivian, Tom’s son John, 11 (whose mother is Brady’s ex, Bridget Moynahan) and their son Benjamin, 9.
