Fourteen years, that’s a long time for anything, and it’s exactly as long as actors Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott have been married. The proud wife and mom of five celebrated their special wedding anniversary by sharing a touching message to her husband on Instagram.
On May 7, Spelling shared a throwback photo of her and McDermott sitting together as they lovingly lean on each other and look at the camera with sweet smiles on their faces. “I can’t believe today is our 14 year anniversary,” Spelling began.
As the actress explained, the photo was taken just six months after they exchanged vows in 2006. “I was preggers with our first babe, Liam. Now, 14 years later we have five beautiful kiddos together. Liam, Stella, Hattie, Finn, and Beau are true creations of our love and passion for each other. Beautiful blends of the two of us. And, I have my bonus son Jack who I love and adore!”
And Spelling made sure to mention their “5 fur babies, 6 piggies, 2 bearded dragons, and [one] guinea pig. Our lives are chaotic but always fun and never boring!”
Spelling then directly addressed her “soulmate.”
“Thank you, Dean McDermott, for being my chosen human in this lifetime. My partner in crime and my best friend. You are an amazing papa bear and I love that you always have my back no matter what! Thank you for loving me and I promise I am still fun! Life just gets stressful sometimes but through it all, we have each other. One day we will get back to Fiji where we became husband and wife and started our journey of a lifetime. I love you with all my heart and soul. Always Your TT Girl.”
And McDermott did the same thing.
Along with a clip of their “In Love” music video, McDermott wrote, “We’ve been through a lot in 14 years and we’re still going strong. Like the song says ‘look how far we’ve come after all.’ Happy Anniversary Babe. ‘I wouldn’t wanna live without ya.'”
In October, as People reported, McDermott created their longevity to palpable sexual chemistry, affection, and love for each other. But admitted that all still takes work even though they have it naturally as a couple and additionally stressed how important “date nights” are to them even though they are parents of six.
“You have to make it a priority to spend time together because you spend so much time focused on your kids, you forget about each other and each other’s needs,” McDermott said before adding how important it is to make your relationship with your spouse a priority. “[Be] aware of it. It’s so easy to throw it in the back, but you’ve got to bring it to the forefront.”
Congratulations Tori and Dean!
